Fancy Italian Dishes – Swordfish alla Siciliana and Raw Artichoke Salad

fancy italian dishes romeiseasyWith this recipe we are going to show you how to prepare two fancy Italian dishes, the Swordfish alla Siciliana, sided by a tasty salad of raw artichokes.
Both these recipes will be perfect for a fancy dinner or to be served during a special evening or occasion. You will stun your guests by showing them two typical Italian dishes that are very simple to prepare and rich of heathy and tasty ingredients.

Swordfish alla Siciliana

Ingredients for two people
2 swordfish fillets
2 anchovies
3 tablespoons capers pickled in salt.
1 lemon
80 gr (2.8 oz) breadcrumbs
1 clove of garlic
1 tablespoon oregano
black pepper

Start washing the capers pickles with fresh water, then minced them. Turn on the oven to 180°C. 
Allow the fish to marinate for about 1hour with the minced capers pickles, lemon peel and salt.
Place the anchovies fillet in a pan with a little olive oil for a few seconds, then add the breadcrumbs, the clove of garlic cut in a half, and half of the oregano. Mix and leave on the pan for 1 minute and cook on medium heath.

Place the swordfish on a plate and dress it with the anchovies and breadcrumbs dressing. Season with olive oil and put it in the oven.
Cook in the oven for 15 minutes.

Serve it immediately, adding some lemon juice.

Raw Artichoke Salad

Ingredients for two people
6 Artichokes
2 Lemons
6 tablespoon olive oil
black pepper
Parmigiano Reggiano (Italian Parmesan)

By using a knife, clean the artichokes, remove the stem and the thorns. Keep them in water with lemon.
Cut them into very thin slices and the mince the parsley.

Mix the olive oil with half lemon juice and the parsley. Add salt and pepper. Pour the dressing on the artichokes and decorate with slivers of Parmigiano Reggiano.
