1. San Clemens Basilica

Among the many attractions you can find throughout the Eternal City, San Clemens Basilica is with no doubt the finest example of the many layers of history hidden underground the Italian capital.
The Basilica belongs to the IV century and was dedicated to Pope Clement I. Just underneath this beautiful church, the archeologists have found another church from the VI – XII century A.D.
During this amazing underground exploration you'll find frescoes, mosaics and also a temple!

2. The Rione Monti

Just behind the Colosseum, discover one of the Rioni of Rome. The Rione Monti is certainly one of the most favorite areas in Rome by locals, full of small shops and narrow streets. Embark on a pleasant walk during the morning and enter the many arty shops and markets of vintage clothes. Or just go there during the late afternoon for an aperitivo in one of the many bars and cafes.

3. Aventine Keyhole

Climb up the Aventine Hill to enjoy one of the most impressive view of Rome. Reach the gates of the Priori of the Knights of Malta. Look through the ornate keyhole and enjoy the suggestive view of the dome of St. Peter's Basilica framed by green hedges.

4. Centrale Montemartini Museum

The history of the new exhibition space for the Musei Capitolini in the former Giovanni Montemartini Thermoelectric Centre is an extraordinary example of industrial archaeology converted into a museum! In an atmospheric game of contrasts, the old machinery of electricity production became the backdrop for masterpieces of ancient sculpture and precious goods found in the excavations of the late nineteenth century and the 1930s.

5. Punto Gelato

Enjoy a tasty Italian gelato at Punto Gelato, in Via dei Pettinari – 43. Close to the Pantheon, this gelateria brings together both the quality of ingredients and artisanal production with an impressive variety of flavors. Our suggestion: try white chocolate and raspberry with stracciatella and mint!
