We will leave the noisy and crowed streets of the city and the most touristy spots to reach a world full of secrets and mystery.

Start At The Catacombs Of Priscilla

The Catacombs of Priscilla represent a type of subterranean buildings. These were the place where the first Christians and non-pagan community used to bury the dead.

This subterranean area is a real labyrinth full of quarries and turns, therefore a tour guide is indispensable if you do not want to get lost!
Your guide will show you the subterranean churches, the frescoes and all the marvels that have been brought to light.

Reach San Clemente Basilica

We will continue our journey through the hidden places of Rome heading to San Clemente Basilica by taxi. The Basilica (IV century) is a Roman Catholic church dedicated to Pope Clement I. At the end of the 19th century the basis of the church were renovated. During the diggings, the archeologists discovered that the Basilica hidden a cavity and another subterranean church (VI-XII century A.D.) was found.

The layers underneath the church include fascinating frescoes of the 9th century, mosaics and a temple dedicated to the god Mitra that you should not miss! Lower levels host ancient Roman buildings buried deep below the street level.

Discover the Case Romane del Celio

Our fascinating tour goes on with a beautiful walk up the Celio Hill. We will enter together into the borgo that surrounds the Church dedicated to the Saints Giovanni and Paolo, from which you can admire its charming bell tower.
Underneath the church we are going to discover the archeological area, known as the Case Romane del Celio and walk through the rooms and the apartments where the ancient Roman middle class lived and where many of the frescoes still remain.
